At Greenwich Winter Night Shelter we, like so many other charities, are always on the lookout for funding opportunities, these take the form of applying to grant making trusts, engaging with local schools and businesses and of course our own events like the Big Sleep Out or our Supper Clubs.

All these obviously take considerable time and effort.

The support we get from our army of volunteers covers every aspect of our work and fundraising is no different, two of our volunteers have made it possible for GWNS to apply for and receive a very generous £10,000 from the Hiscox’s Foundation!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Anne and Bob for the effort they put into to securing this vital funding, during the process of recommending us for funding some of their words were genuinely moving. Of course, we’d like to also thank everyone at the Hiscox’s Foundation for their help and support. This funding will go a very long way to ensuring this year’s winter night shelter continues to build on the successes of previous years, but most importantly enable us to help people break the cycle of homelessness.
